PPS Film (Polyphenylene
Sulfide)
PPS (Polyphenylene
Sulfide) film is an impact-modified, unreinforced extrusion grade.
PPS offers high tensile elongation, unusual flexibility and ductility.
Film also has high temperature resistance, impact strength and flexibility.
This new grade retains many of the traditional benefits of Fortron® PPS
including excellent adhesion to nylons and polyolefins, high chemical
resistance and low fuel permeation . For example:
.005" film of Fortron PPS SKX-382 has a gasoline (CE10) permeability rate
of 0.121 g mm/m2/day, which is far less than that of nylon, polyketone and
other resins often used with gasoline and other fuels.
