UHMW High Bond Tape
With High-Bond Adhesive

UHMW High Bond (HB) Tape has all the benefits of strong, slippery, abrasion-resistant UHMW (ultra-high molecular weight) polyethylene tape, plus a super-high bond adhesive. UHMW High Bond is an excellent choice for applications which require adhesion to difficult-to-bond, Low Surface Energy surfaces like plastics, powder-coats, foams and oily metals. UHMW-HB even sticks to high slip surfaces PTFE, acrylic, PE, etc.

High Bond adhesive is a 3M high-strength, high tack, chemical-resistant acrylic product. The bond strength of this 3M adhesive increases with time and temperature. High humidity has minimal effect on adhesive performance. In general, bond strength is even higher after exposure for 7 days at 90F and 90% relative humidity.

UHMW High Bond Tape is water resistant. It can be immersed in water with no appreciable effect on the bond strength. Bond strength generally tends to increase after exposure to humidity, temperature and cycling. This tape resists many chemicals: gasoline, oil, Freon™ TF, sodium chloride solution, mild acid & alkalis. UHMW HB Tape is UV and weather resistant Use indoors or outdoors. Film is approved is FDA and USDA approved for Food Contact; RoHS compliant. Temperature range is 0° to +200° F.

UHMW High Bond Tape is available in many film thicknesses: .010", .020", .030", .060", .090" and .125". Adhesive is .002" thick. Black Semi-Conductive, Anti-Static UHMW High Bond Tape is also available. Standard Widths are .5", .75, 1", 2", 6" , 12". Rolls are 5 yards long. Custom widths, thicknesses and lengths are also available. CS Hyde Company can custom Die-Cut UHMW High Bond into labels, discs, squares, etc. Send us your drawing.

Color is white; Peel off liner is a tan Polycoated Kraft Paper. UHMW High Bond can be die cut, scissor cut, knife cut.
